The next edition of the SFR will be published on June 27th 2013. The SFR will report final full year statistics for 2011/12 and provisional statistics for the first nine months of 2012/13 (August to April). Table templates showing the proposed tables for the June 2013 SFR are now available. |

The latest edition of the SFR was published on 27 March 2013. You can view the SFR here. It shows information on learner participation and achievement for Further Education and Skills from 2007/08 to 2011/12, as well provisional data for the first six months of 2012/13 (August to January). It includes information from the Labour Force Survey on the level of highest qualification held in England, and information on vocational qualifications awarded in the United Kingdom.
A small review of the timing and presentation of the Release was conducted in 2010. This was to ensure that the timing of the SFR was best aligned with when further education data became available, and to ensure that the presentation of statistics was relevant to any new policies introduced. We plan to change how and when we publish Ofqual data on vocational qualifications to enable a more timely release of these statistics based upon when data becomes available. In line with data availability, we will update Ofqual statistics in November, March, May and August. Information on publication dates for Ofqual data will be announced on this page and included in future editions of the Statistical First Release. This will be available in the Supplementary Tables section of the website.
