2. The Data Service is responsible for collecting information from providers and intermediaries, and for providing software and documentation relating to the collection process.

3. Data is disseminated via a range of methods, including Datasets and Data Cubes.

4. The data collected by the Data Service is set and regulated by the Information Authority.

5. The establishment of the Data Service is part of an ongoing transformation that will be completed by 2011.
