Datasets Metadata 2008/2009

1. Field lists are included in the Data Dictionary for reference purposes.

2. Each Data set should be described in terms of the following Metadata in addition to any General Metadata.

• Name
• Purpose
• Detailed Definition
• Field List

NAME

3. The name of the Data set and a brief description of it's format.

PURPOSE

4. What the dataset is used for.

DETAILED DEFINITION

5. More detailed information regarding the processes used to create the dataset and it's source data.

FIELD LIST

6. A list of fields used in the dataset. Where appropriate, the fields are linked to the relevant data definition in the Data Dictionary.
