Analytical LAD 2008/2009

1. The Analytical LAD is an export from the Learning Aims Database (LAD) into flat file format.

PURPOSE

2. The Analytical LAD contains information about all LSC-recognised learning aims offered by providers and enables more detailed analysis of provider provision.

DETAILED DEFINITION

3. The LAD is a relational database with multiple tables of data and lookup tables. An export in flat file format is produced by a Structured Query Language (SQL) query which joins tables with output fields named according to the mappings shown in Table 1.

4. In addition to data taken directly from the LAD there are a number of derived variables. The hyperlink from the variable name for these derived variables is to the appropriate data definition.
