DEFINITION
1. The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) is an organisation responsible for developing both the National Curriculum for children and young people and the National Qualifications Framework for learners and employers.
DESCRIPTION
2. The QCA works with partners including the LSC, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and the Sector Skills Council (SSC) as well as overseeing the work of awarding bodies to ensure that their administration, marking and awarding procedures run smoothly.
