DEFINITION

1. Public Service Agreements (PSAs) are targets and objectives set for Government departments.

DESCRIPTION

2. PSAs were introduced in the 1998 Comprehensive Spending Review. The latest were introduced in 2007, setting out the Government's priority areas for 2008/09 to 2010/11.

3. Each PSA includes details of who is responsible for ensuring its success and how that success is measured.
