Wider Family Learning (WFL) Business Definition 2008/2009

DEFINITION

1. Wider Family Learning (WFL) includes courses aimed at parents/carers or the family as a whole, and are often taken as a shared activity between parents/carers and their children.

DESCRIPTION

2. WFL can include a range of courses such as parenting, computing or creative art.

3. It is funded as part of the Adult Safeguarded Learning (ASL) stream.

4. Ideally, WFL courses will provide a route into Family Language, Literacy and Numeracy (FLLN) programmes.
