DEFINITION

1. The Start is the period in which a learner started an aim.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

2. This enables monitoring of the number of aims that learners started per period over the academic year.

3. A learner must remain on a programme for a minimum length of time (dependent on the total length of the programme) before they are counted for monitoring purposes.

4. Start dates are categorised into 14 periods, including dates before 1st August 2008 and after 31st July 2009.
