Other Provision Business Definition

DEFINITION

1. The category of Other Provision provides funding for courses that are not eligible for funding under Sections 96 and 97 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

2. Courses that are not part of the framework laid out by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), or do not lead to a qualification or award will not attract funding under the criteria laid out in Section 96 (for young people up to the age of 19) or Section 97 (for adults over 19), for example, access courses or enrichment activities.

3. These courses may still be eligible for funding as Other Provision. Funding is approved at local LSC level on a case by case basis.
