Leave Business Definition

DEFINITION

1. The Leave is the period in which a learner left an aim.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

2. When measured against the Actual End Date of the aim, this enables monitoring of the number of aims that learners completed per period over the academic year.

3. A learner is considered to have left a programme when they:

  • Are known to have made a decision to withdraw;
  • have exceeded the provider absence and withdrawal policy or have been dismissed by the provider; or
  • cannot be contact for a period of four weeks.

4. Leave dates are categorised into 14 periods, including dates before 1st August 2008 and after 31st July 2009.
