DEFINITION

1. Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) is a range of services designed to offer support to adult learners.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

2. Under section 12.6 of the Learning and Skills act 2000 the Learning and Skills Council is responsible for securing information, advice and guidance services for adults in relation to learning and work.

3. The services secured for the provision of IAG are as follows:

  • Learndirect
  • Nextstep
  • Specialised IAG services within Further Education colleges
  • The Union Learning Fund
