Family Literacy, Language and Numeracy (FLLN) Business Definition

DEFINITION

1. Family Literacy, Language and Numeracy (FLLN) programmes arim to improve standards of language, literacy and numeracy of both parents/carers and their children.

DESCRIPTION

2. FLLN programmes vary in length and intensity, and are designed to provide opportunities for parents/carers and children to improve their skills. Parents will also gain a greater understanding of their child's learning process, and how to support them in learning outside school.

3. Parents should be supported in progressing from FLLN programmes to appropriate qualifications.

4. FLLN Programmes are funded under the Adult Safeguarded Learning (ASL) funding stream.
