DEFINITION

1. The Adult Safeguarded Learning (ASL) funding stream includes a range of community based and outreach learning opportunities, primarily taking place through Local Education Authorities.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

2. Types of learning covered by the Adult Safeguarded Learning stream are as follows:

• Personal and Community Development Learning (PCDL)
• Family Literacy, Language and Numeracy (FLLN)
• Wider Family Learning (WFL)
• Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC)

3. These types of learning are outside the scope of the 16-18 Learner Responsive, Adult Learner Responsive and Employer Responsive models.
