Data Transformation

The Data Service:

• Applies derived variables as specified and agreed by the information authority to produce standard data sets
• Applies the transformations and reformatting of data necessary to support data exchange within the further education sector as specified by the information authority
• Applies the transformations and reformatting of data necessary to support data exchange across sectors, as specified by the Information Standards Board
• Aggregates data according to standard specifications agreed across the sector through the information authority
• Maintains a change management regime for all agreed specifications to allow for modifications, obsolescence and new introductions in response to new sector business needs.
