Learner Information Suite 17.02.013 software
Overview
The Learner Information Suite (LIS) software is a software application which is made available to providers to assist in preparation of ILR data. Version 17.02.013 processes 2009/10 ILR data and contains functionality for ILR Validation, Funding calculations (Learner Responsive and Employer Responsive) and reports.
17.02.013 replaces version 17.02.008 which was released in September 2009. Full details of the differences between the original version of LIS 17.02 and this newer version can be found in the Release Guide below.
Please note: Users of LIS 17.02 are advised to replace 17.02.008 with 17.02.013 and that by installing it over the top of the earlier version, all currently imported ILR data will be overwritten as well.
Installation
LIS 17.02 requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to run. If your PC environment does not have this, you will need to download (from the table below) and install it before running the LIS 17.02 installation. If you have previously installed LIS series 16 or 17 then .NET framework will already exist in your PC environment.
The database of postcodes and associated disadvantage and area cost factors has been updated since the version originally issued with LIS 17.01. LIS users should use this latest version, which is consistent with the version currently used in the online data collections system.

To apply the Data update file to the LIS, you should download and unzip the file. Within the LIS, select 'Options' then on the 'Maintenance' tab select 'Update Data' and specify the location of the unzipped update file.
To import the Postcode data file into the LIS, you should download and unzip the file. Within the LIS, select 'Options' and in the portion of the 'Maintenance' tab dedicated to Postcode Factors select 'Change' and specify the location of the unzipped update file.
