The Online Data Collection system (OLDC) is now available following the downtime for software maintenance which took place over the last few days. It was expected to be available this morning, but some users experienced intermittent performance which has since been rectified.

The deadline for the 2009/10 Employer Responsive Period 13 ILR return (W13) IS 12 November. This date is a ‘hard close’, so no further returns will be accepted after 6.00pm on 12 November 2010.

The Data Service undertook a pilot with a group of Access Validating Agencies (AVAs) to identify whether access to HE learner statistics could be supplied to the AVAs by the Data Service.

As you may be aware, the deadline for the final 2009/10 learner responsive data return (F05) is 22 November 2010 – Get it in! This return date is earlier than ever before. This date is a ‘hard close’, so no further returns will be accepted after 6.00pm on 22 November 2010, when the data collection portal will close for this return.

The Data Service is in the process of scoping business requirements for the re-platforming of its data collection systems. The aim is to streamline data collection systems, replace applications (the Provider Information Management System (PIMS), Online Data Collection System (OLDC), POL, IPOL (Provider Online Application Systems), Learner Information Suite (LIS) and Learner Aims Database (LAD) and offer flexible systems capable of functional change.

As in previous years, the Data Service will be publishing Value Added (VA) reports on the provider gateway. In mid November the ‘unamended’ reports will be made available, with ‘amended’ reports available from the end of January 2011. Follow link for more information...
