FAQ - Can the period end be reopened after the close date?
Answer- Below are the guidelines relating to whether exception processes are relevant.

Period end-No point in reopening periods as the data is cumulative and posts back to the correct period.
Year end-Never reopen as there are too many impacts on the business processes e.g. contracts and payments
Action- Only sector wide issues would generate exceptions.
A business case would need to be made to the Information Authority.
if a provider has individual problems then contact your account manager. If justified, payment resolutions can be managed outside of the standard process but the data cannot be changed. |
